Ten Otis elevators serve the office component of the building via separate high and low-rise elevator banks. A parkade shuttle elevator connects the four levels of the parkade, the main lobby and the Plus15 level. Two escalators also connect the main lobby and the Plus 15 level.

Abundant tenant parking underground (251 reserved stalls), providing a ratio of one stall per 1,600 square feet leased. Additional stalls are dedicated to hourly visitors.

AMEC Place achieved Bronze Certification (2022), awarded by the Building Owners and Managers Association of Canada (BOMA), recognizing Best Practices in environmental leadership within the commercial real estate industry.

AMEC Place is equipped with a NOTIFIER two-stage fire alarm system. The building is fully sprinklered by a wet system with heat and smoke detection on each floor. In the event a power failure occurs, the building is equipped with a 500-kilowatt generator that supplies power to operate emergency equipment and warning systems.

AMEC Place has a digital building-access system securing the parkade, main entrance and elevators. Security personnel are on-site 24/7/365, along with comprehensive video monitoring of high-traffic common areas.

Three Miura high efficiency low emission boilers, installed in 2012, supply heating through a perimeter radiation system. Air-handling is provided by variable-pitch fans through a minimum of 29 VAV (variable air volume) boxes on each floor. The air-handling system is designed to provide a minimum of 20% fresh air upwards to 100% during free cooling. with two Trane chillers providing full air conditioning. Air-handling filtration for the building is at a Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) 15 level.

The lighting system consists of high-efficiency LED fixtures. Building has a lighting-control system to assist with energy conservation by automatically ‘sweeping’ the building after hours, switching all but emergency lights off within tenant premises. After-hours lighting can be extended in one-hour increments by simply turning on the main light switch within each suite.
