Real Group of Companies

First Real Properties Limited, Second Real Properties Limited and Fourth Real Properties Limited (The Real Group of Companies) are joint-venture entities owned by Yale Properties Limited and Manulife Financial.

Yale Properties Limited was established in 1954 to develop and own real estate in Montreal, Quebec. Through the guidance of consistent ownership, the company has prospered and grown into a group of related companies with holdings and activities across North America in many industries and sectors.

Manulife Financial is a leading international financial services group, based in Canada, that has operated for over 135 years in providing financial advice, insurance, as well as wealth and asset management solutions for individuals, groups and institutions.

The Real Group of Companies was formed between 1968 and 1981 to develop Lloyd D. Jackson Square in Hamilton, Ontario. Since that time, the companies have expanded into Calgary, Alberta and Toronto, Ontario. The Real Group of Companies now holds a diverse portfolio containing 3.3 million square feet of office, retail and industrial assets, along with significant development lands. Senior management and accounting are centralized in the Toronto office, where a very hands-on approach is taken to ensure efficient and effective corporate operations. On-site property and leasing operations are led by a dedicated team, guided by the principles of long-term, institutional property stewardship. Highly developed information systems combined with strong procedures and communications further strengthen our ability to manage assets in order to exceed our tenants’ expectations.

Our orientation process for new employees includes training in our Code of Conduct and all our employees attest to their continued compliance by reviewing and confirming adherence to the Code of Conduct.
