Starter Company Plus
Starter Company Plus is a training and mentorship program for businesses less than two (2) years in age. The program offers opportunities for training in business planning, marketing, social media, bookkeeping, and financial management. Plus, there are funding opportunities of up to $5,000 for eligible businesses approved into the program.
You’ve already done the hard part: you started your business and it’s been running for 6+ months.
Now imagine getting:
- Free training (marketing, money, growth – the stuff that actually moves the needle)
- 1-on-1 mentoring
- Up to $5,000 in grant money (yes, real cash for equipment, ads, whatever you need)
This is Starter Company Plus from the Hamilton Business Centre – and the Winter 2026 cohort is filling up fast. If you’re 18+, Canadian, own at least 51% of your Hamilton-based business (under 2 years old), and put in 35+ hours a week… you’re probably eligible.
